What's the Job?

As a Recruitment Team Leader, you will lead and support a team of Recruitment Consultants dedicated to identifying and placing talented apprentices into opportunities that make a real impact.

This role offers a strong focus on leadership and continuous professional development-both for your team and for yourself. You'll play a key role in coaching, mentoring, and developing consultants to help them reach their full potential while ensuring the team delivers outstanding results.

Working closely with the Head of Recruitment, you'll help shape recruitment strategies that support our wider business goals. You'll monitor performance, champion our values, and ensure your team consistently delivers an exceptional candidate experience.

This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their leadership career, with opportunities to develop strategic recruitment skills and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our recruitment function.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Recruitment in implementing Baltic's apprentice recruitment and selection strategy
  • Ensure consistent delivery of our recruitment strategy and candidate experience across the team
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Recruitment Consultants to achieve and exceed performance targets
  • Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and structured CPD to support individual and team development
  • Monitor and drive team performance against key KPIs to maximise induction cohort numbers across all routeways
  • Support the development and improvement of learner eligibility processes
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1 meetings, providing clear guidance, feedback, and development plans
  • Attend and contribute to key meetings with senior stakeholders
  • Ensure recruitment systems and processes are utilised efficiently, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Promote best practice, compliance, and consistency across the recruitment team
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage and support a team of recruiters to achieve key business objectives including:
    • Placement and start targets
    • Retention rates
    • Time to fill
    • Conversion rates
    • P1 Productivity
    • Quality observations
  • Maintain a high support rating through effective leadership and consistent 1-2-1 documentation
