Recruitment Specialist - 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract Public Sector Organisation Dublin 8
A leading Public Sector Organisation is currently seeking an experiencedRecruitment Specialistto join its Human Resources team on a12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Resource Planning Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, high-performing recruitment function supporting large-scale, high-volume hiring across a diverse operational environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced recruiter who enjoys managing the full recruitment lifecycle, building strong stakeholder relationships, and delivering a first-class candidate experience while ensuring compliance with robust recruitment processes.
The RoleAs Recruitment Specialist, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment campaigns while supporting workforce planning initiatives across the organisation. You will work closely with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to deliver effective recruitment solutions, coordinate selection processes, and ensure all recruitment activities are carried out in line with organisational policies and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle across a variety of positions, from requisition through to onboarding.
- Coordinate and administer recruitment campaigns, including interview scheduling, assessments, medicals, reference checks, contract preparation, and pre-employment documentation.
- Partner with hiring managers to scope roles, develop recruitment strategies, and support effective hiring decisions.
- Administer recruitment assessments and support structured selection processes.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records, databases, and documentation in line with GDPR and data retention requirements.
- Support recruitment process improvements and contribute to the continuous development of HR systems and practices.
- Ensure recruitment activities are compliant with organisational policies and legislative requirements.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers.
- Support diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and employer attraction campaigns.
- Provide administrative support to the wider Resource Planning team as required.
- Third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years' end-to-end recruitment experience, ideally within a high-volume or fast-paced recruitment environment.
- Strong experience managing multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong customer service focus and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and virtual collaboration tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
- Flexibility to travel to various locations as required.
- Qualification in Ability and Personality Testing (Level A & B).
- Experience using personality assessment tools such as 16PF.
- Previous experience recruiting for safety-critical or highly regulated environments.
- Experience supporting assessment centres or structured selection methodologies.
