Overview

The Recruitment Consultant role in Birmingham involves managing recruitment processes for schools across the West Midlands. This full-time position offers a salary of £30,000-£40,000 plus uncapped commission, based in Edgbaston.

You will handle a warm desk of established schools and candidates, focusing on placing teaching and support staff. The role suits an experienced recruiter seeking to specialise in education or move sectors, operating within a supportive team structure.

Responsibilities

• Build long-term relationships with schools and education professionals.
• Recruit teachers and support staff for temporary and permanent vacancies.
• Source candidates and manage placements from initial contact to successful onboarding.
• Grow your desk through business development and networking.
• Deliver an exceptional service to clients and candidates while maintaining safeguarding and compliance standards.
• Manage a specialist desk within SEND, Secondary or Primary, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Recruitment experience; education experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for building relationships and delivering excellent service.
