Recruitment Consultant - Transport Desk

Location: Needwood, Burton-on-Trent (DE13 9PD)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with early finishes on Fridays

Salary: Negotiable depending on industry experience

We are looking for a motivated and driven Recruitment Consultant to join our busy transport desk, specialising in the supply of HGV drivers across the Midlands (East, West & South). This role is ideal for someone who understands the fast-paced nature of transport recruitment and can build strong relationships with both drivers and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Recruiting and resourcing HGV Class 1 and Class 2 drivers to meet client demand
• Managing the full recruitment process from advertising roles through to registration and placement
• Speaking regularly with drivers to understand availability, preferences, and compliance
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with transport clients, ensuring their requirements are consistently met
• Filling bookings efficiently, often at short notice, to keep operations running smoothly
• Proactively developing new business opportunities within the transport and logistics sector

What we are looking for

• Previous recruitment experience is beneficial but not essential
• Experience working within a fast-paced and target driven sales background is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, reactive environment
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly around compliance

Due to the location of the office, access to your own transport is essential.
