Receptionist - Broomfield Village Care Home

We are looking for a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our team on a 33-hour contract. This role involves working 8 AM - 8 PM shifts on a rota basis, including every other weekend.

Job Overview

At Broomfield Village Care Home, our Reception Team plays an important role in creating a warm, welcoming, and professional first impression for our residents, families, visitors, and external professionals. As the first point of contact, you will welcome visitors, answer telephone calls, respond to emails, and ensure all enquiries are handled in a professional, helpful, and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors to the home, answer incoming telephone calls, respond to emails, and ensure enquiries are handled professionally.
• Provide friendly and approachable service, ensuring residents, families, and visitors feel valued and supported from the moment they arrive.
• Maintain accurate records, manage correspondence, support documentation, assist with general office tasks, and ensure information is processed and stored appropriately.
• Work closely with different departments across the home to provide essential administrative support and effective communication.
• Build positive relationships with residents, their families, visitors, healthcare professionals, and suppliers, responding to queries with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality.
• Confidently manage a busy reception area, prioritise tasks, and remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Approachable, reliable, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Previous reception or administrative experience desirable.
• Genuine passion for providing a high quality service and contributing to a positive experience for everyone who enters the home.
