Job Description

Cygnet Hospital Maidstone is our state of the art, 65 bed mental health facility for adults situated in the new Kent Medical Campus in Maidstone.

We are looking for a friendly and experienced Receptionist to join our team on a part time basis to provide a professional and welcoming reception experience. The role involves working 22.5 hours, covering three days a week on a rota basis so you will need to be flexible.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience
  • Greet visitors and notify the appropriate member of staff of their arrival
  • Ensure visitors sign in and out, and that patients leaving and returning are recorded appropriately
  • Answer, transfer all incoming calls and take messages where appropriate
  • Sort and distribute post
  • Assist with general office duties as required
  • Keep the reception area clean and tidy
  • Promote the safety and security of all site users and ensure all staff comply with security protocols

Qualifications
  • Experience as a receptionist/administrator working with customers or clients
  • Organised, naturally helpful, and a good multi tasker
  • Computer literate - including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable of telephone systems
  • Polite, friendly, and approachable with excellent communication skills
  • GCSE Maths and English qualified, with a good level of numeracy and literacy
  • Diligent and accurate, with an eye for detail and an understanding of confidentiality
