£60,000-£70,000 + benefits | Holborn (Hybrid)

A growing digital agency in Holborn is looking for a Mid-Weight React Native Developer to join their small engineering team. The business specialises in building AI-driven tools - from chatbots to scraping systems and retrieval solutions - with a strong client base across the UK and Europe.

The Role

This is a hands-on React Native role, focused purely on mobile development (no web components). You'll be responsible for integrating two Python APIs (REST and GraphQL), optimising app performance, and contributing to new AI-centric features. The set-up is collaborative: pair programming, code reviews, and pragmatic engineering in a small, lean team.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and optimise React Native applications.

• Integrate with Python APIs (REST and GraphQL).

• Drive performance improvements: bundles, memory, startup, animations, offline.

• Participate in PR reviews and pair programming.

• Contribute to AI features (chatbots, scraping, retrieval systems).

• Manage store releases, updates, and monitoring.

What's Needed

• 2-3+ years' commercial React Native experience.

• Strong skills in TypeScript, navigation, and state management (Redux, Zustand, or React Query).

• Experience with performance profiling and optimisation in React Native

• Comfortable integrating REST and GraphQL APIs.

• Exposure to CI/CD, app store releases, and OTA updates (eg CodePush).

• Nice-to-haves: Native modules (Swift/Kotlin), app security, crash/analytics tools, or experience with chatbots/RAG systems.

Package & Set-Up

• Salary guide £60,000; up to £70,000 for candidates close to senior level.

• Hybrid in Holborn: around three days a week in the office initially, with more flexibility once established.

• Small, agile team working with modern tooling and quick feedback loops.
