Job Description
REACH Consultant - Global Medical Device Organisation

EHS International is partnering with a leading global medical-device organisation to recruit an experienced REACH Consultant to support chemical regulatory compliance across its global operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chemical regulatory professional to provide specialist expertise on REACH and wider chemical legislation, while working closely with teams across a highly regulated, international organisation.

The Role

As REACH Consultant, you will provide expert guidance on EU REACH, UK REACH and wider chemical regulatory requirements, working closely with stakeholders across Regulatory Affairs, Quality, R&D, Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing substances and materials against applicable chemical regulations.
  • Providing expert guidance on EU REACH, UK REACH and wider chemical legislation.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and assessing their potential impact on the organisation.
  • Supporting chemical regulatory compliance activities across global operations.
  • Advising stakeholders on the impact of changing chemical legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, R&D, Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain teams.
  • Providing clear, practical regulatory advice to support business and compliance objectives.
  • Supporting the organisation in maintaining robust chemical regulatory compliance.
About You

We are looking for an experienced regulatory professional with a strong understanding of chemical legislation and the ability to provide clear, practical advice to a range of stakeholders.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong knowledge of EU REACH.
  • Knowledge of UK REACH would be highly desirable.
  • Experience in chemical regulatory affairs, product compliance or a related field.
  • A scientific degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The ability to work effectively across multiple functions and with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences or another highly regulated industry would be advantageous.
