RE: Maintenance Assistant/ Handyperson - West & East Sussex

Morgan Hunt currently requires a Maintenance Assistant/Handyperson for NHS based in West & East Sussex.

Pay Rate: £18ph to £19ph (limit) - depending on experience.

Hours: 37.5 hrs (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday).

Location: West and East Sussex.

Duration: 6 months ongoing contract.

• The candidate will be expected to undertake semi-skilled craft duties to enable effective installation, maintenance and repair of a wide range of plant and equipment.
• Carry out day to day maintenance and fault repairs, and testing as instructed by the Mechanical and Electrical Manager (M & E Manager) and other skilled trades.
• Apply a flexible attitude and approach to carrying out all assigned tasks.
• Have good time management skills, be able to work alone or unsupervised when necessary, and adhere to Health and Safety principles.

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification.
• Experience of basic engineering plant and equipment maintenance, including lighting and power systems, portable appliances, domestic appliances, firefighting systems and other associated building services plant and equipment.
• Basic Carpentry skills.
