The Role and Department

As part of the Computer Science Department, you will collaborate across disciplines to contribute to the JusTN0W initiative, focusing on AI, law, and sustainability research.

We invite applications for a Research Associate or Postdoctoral Research Associate, under the supervision of Dr. Nelly Bencomo. We particularly encourage applicants with a background in CS and a passion for software development, including PhD holders considering an academic career or pursuing a PhD at Durham.

Key Responsibilities

You will develop AI-based systems for analyzing treaties and agreements, collaborating with social science researchers, and delivering functional prototypes for stakeholder use.
