What's the job?Working as a key part of the Range, Space & Channel Planning team to develop and deploy range and space data analytics and reporting, producing robust analysis on category space and range performance to drive the optimum matrix and distribution of our planogrammed areas across the estate. The role supports the range change, format development and property programmes.
- Execute the delivery of robust processes and effective tools to understand the performance of range & space, recommending actionable change to improve our in-store sales and stock utilisation.
- Measure the success of range and space changes against commercially led parameters, delivering recommendations for improvements.
- Identify, improve and innovate tools to enable accurate analysis of Macro and Micro Space and to develop range assortments that distribute our products in the optimal way that will meet our commercial targets and the expectation of our customers in all formats.
- Develop a network of advocates in the Category teams and wider Commercial Planning function.
- Manage the integrity of the data within our analysis tools and recommend improvements to processes to ensure tools are as accurate as possible
- Support the Format Development & Property teams with Blueprint and Store Format projects by providing Macro & Micro Space analysis and recommendations to create new stores that meet budget and sales density targets.
- You will work with category teams to effectively deliver product and merchandising updates that successfully improve our proposition and profitability.
- You will supports Visual Merchandising and Planogramming so that our planograms are optimised for sales to be met through stock levels that allow our store teams to maintain stock levels in store against agreed replenishment cycles.
- Proven experience working within retail, within a commercial data analysis role.
- Highly proficient user of Excel to simplify complex data sources.
- Competent communicator to stakeholders of all levels to justify a view backed up with data to support it
- Advantageous to have experience of planogram & space management tools (JDA preferred)
