Job Title: Rail ManagerLocation: Newport
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Rail Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth delivery of services, efficient handling of customer orders, and fostering positive relationships across our depots, transport partners, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce accurate reports on customer requirements and relevant details to assist with service delivery.
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled by depots through effective communication with depots and the Central Desk.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and return it to the hire facility promptly.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the company's equipment for hire/sale.
- Liaise with transport partners and subcontractors to enhance customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Assist in creating cost savings where possible.
- Maintain high after-sales care and provide assistance with maintenance issues when required.
- Support the Sales and Operations teams as needed.
- Ensure procurement of small plant, tools, and related services aligns with ongoing work and safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Help create a sustainable competitive advantage and maximize value and cost reduction in the supply chain.
- Implement customer strategies related to small plant, tools, third-party hires, and preferred partners.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Experience in Rail and Civils is essential.
- Proactive problem-solving and cost management skills.
- High standards in customer service, safety, and operations.
- PTS certification is essential.
