The Senior Radiographer, PACS and Health Informatics will provide clinical expertise and support to staff working in Connolly Hospital and the Dublin and North East Region (DNE) Surgical Hub. S/he will provide leadership in the delivery of specialised services and will ensure the radiology service is part of a dynamic and growing health care facility catering for the health needs of all service users. The successful candidate will carry out the duties appropriate to a Senior Radiographer, PACS and Health Informatics in relation to this specialised area and support and supervise staff in training.

Key responsibilities - PACS Related

• Lead and oversee the day to day operation of the PACS service.
• Take responsibility for PACS administration and daily maintenance/housekeeping.
• Be one of the key stakeholders/points of contact for the Radiography department and the Hospital in all PACS related matters.
• Manage user access, permissions and audit in relation to PACS.
• Provide training to new users - General, Clinician, Radiologist, Administrator.
• Manage image transfer processes.
• Advise on and take lead on implementation of any process improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate future PACS service development - upgrades, replacement, training, testing, etc.
