R&D Manager in Road Heritage

HEIG-VD is offering the position of R&D Project Manager in Road Engineering. The Institute of Territorial Engineering (INSIT) encompasses all the techniques, knowledge, and know-how required to lead territories towards a greater quality of life, improved environmental quality, and increased efficiency. Within INSIT, the Centre of Competence in the Road Domain (CCDR) is a hub for applied research and services related to road construction. The CCDR conducts accredited ISO tests. At the Environment Department (EC+G), you will be responsible for the following tasks within INSIT: - Participate in the setup, coordination, and management of research projects related to road engineering.- Write expert reports and summaries (site inspections, technical controls).- Contribute to scientific monitoring, follow the evolution of standards published by VSS and SIA, and participate in funding applications.- Assist in writing articles and liaising with partners.- Under the supervision of a professor, coordinate the daily activities of a testing lab and ensure the smooth operation of the facility, including financial management (offers, quotes, invoices, budget).- Guarantee scientific quality, reliability of results, and compliance of deliverables.- Ensure the long-term maintenance of skills and adherence to quality requirements.Your profile:- Master's degree in civil engineering, environmental sciences, or equivalent.- Confirmed professional experience in managing applied research or service projects.- Proven knowledge of the road sector and relevant testing is appreciated.- Familiarity with the accredited ISO framework.- Proficient in project management, activity coordination, and meeting deadlines.- Excellent writing skills in French and good proficiency in German and English.- Sense of rigor and respect for procedures.- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.- Availability and flexibility in working hours.Type of position: permanent contract.Employment rate: 80% to 100%.Start date: June 1 or to be agreed upon.For information: Ms. X Howald, Associate Professor, tel: Deadline for applications: March 15.
