The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to work on major infrastructure and construction projects that make a real difference to communities and the environment?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team supporting the delivery of large-scale capital projects across the North West. This is a fantastic chance to play a key role in commercially managing complex construction contracts while developing your career within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.

Working on high-profile projects, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors and supply chain partners to ensure commercial success, effective risk management and value for money throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial management of construction and works contracts
• Administration of contracts throughout the project lifecycle
• Managing early warnings, compensation events and change control processes
• Cost forecasting, valuations, payments and final accounts
• Supporting contract negotiations and dispute resolution activities
• Identifying and mitigating commercial and business risks
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintaining high-quality commercial and contractual records
• Providing commercial guidance and support across project teams
• Supporting senior commercial leadership with key project activities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification/experience
• Strong understanding of quantity surveying practices across the full project lifecycle
• Experience administering and managing construction contracts
• Knowledge of NEC contracts or other standard forms of construction contract
• Strong commercial negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing commercial aspects of projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• Full UK Driving Licence
