The Opportunity

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account. You'll work closely with project teams to ensure delivery remains commercially sound while identifying risks and opportunities.

This role offers the chance to gain exposure to complex infrastructure projects while developing your career in a business that actively supports professional development and chartership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and agreeing interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Issuing subcontract payment certificates and monitoring commercial performance
  • Managing compensation events and contractual notices in line with contract requirements
  • Monitoring labour, materials, plant, prelims and subcontract costs to maintain project profitability
  • Supporting subcontract procurement and tender processes
  • Tracking project performance through internal commercial reporting systems
  • Providing commercial guidance to project teams
  • Escalating potential cost risks or commercial pressures
  • Supporting continuous improvement and participating in training and development programmes
What We're Looking For Essential
  • Experience working in the construction or infrastructure sector
  • Strong understanding of commercial reporting and cost value reconciliation
  • Knowledge of subcontract procurement and administration
  • Familiarity with forms of contract and measurement methods
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar
  • RICS chartered or working towards chartership
  • NEC contract experience or accreditation
