Job Description
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing ProjectsLocation: Liverpool (with flexibility for Warrington and Manchester)Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PMCompany Overview:Our company specializes in providing refurbishment solutions for social housing projects, with a commitment to improving living standards for communities across the North West. We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and contribute to the success of our social housing planned works.Key Responsibilities:Manage social housing planned works projects in the North West region, focusing on refurbishment of tenanted properties.Operate out of our Liverpool office, with flexibility to travel to Warrington and Manchester locations as needed.Monitor contract progress and ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.Liaise with Contract Managers, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate project activities and address any issues or concerns.Apply knowledge of JCT and MTC (Measured Term Contract) contracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.Oversee refurbishment works of tenanted social housing properties, covering aspects such as kitchens, bathrooms, doors, roofing replacements, voids, and sustain works.Prepare cost estimates, tender documents, and contract variations as required.Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress, quality, and compliance with specifications.Manage project budgets, prepare financial reports, and forecast project costs.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.Qualifications and Experience:Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the refurbishment sector, ideally with a focus on social housing projects.Knowledge of JCT and MTC contracts.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Full UK driving license.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.27 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.7.5% pension contribution.Car or car allowance.Discounted healthcare.Taste card for dining discounts.Paid volunteering day.Length of service benefits.Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
