Quantity Surveyor - Limerick (On-site, Managing Contracting Companies)

Multi-year contractor role (starting with 2 years)

• Excellent Hourly rate (or Permanent Role if preferred)

We have a great opportunity for an experienced QS / Quantity Surveyor to work straight days, Monday to Friday, on-site in County Limerick

Working with the wider engineering team, you will take ownership for the sites contracting companies, ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standard.

Key job features include:

• Reviewing budgets, advising on cost development and providing oversight on commercial management of capital projects
• Assisting and advising in the preparation of Tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, schedule of rates etc.
• Procuring pricing and quotations from specialist sub-contractors to assist with the delivery of capital projects
• Monitoring contractor costs, valuations, variations and overall commercial performance of contractor's costs and project costs
• Administering contractor orders daily, reviewing costs and reporting monthly on project costs
• Preparing work schedules and contractor planning using available resources
• Attending meetings, monitoring work progress and redirecting contractors according to project demands

Experience:

• Have a relevant degree and worked as a QS / Quantity Surveyor for at least 3 years
• Have natural problem-solving skills with strong mechanical aptitude
• Have excellent communication / interpersonal skills
