Job Description

Our client, a well-established company in the construction industry, is seeking an experiencedQuantity Surveyor to join their team. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, our client takes pride in their ability to provide turnkey solutions through a combination of in-house expertise and trusted specialist contractors. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to contribute to cost efficiency and project success in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, manage, and track project budgets, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
  • Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and prepare tender and contract documents.
  • Conduct cost analysis and perform risk management processes.
  • Monitor project expenditures and provide detailed cost reports.
  • Assess contractor claims and variations, ensuring accurate valuations.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure financial control and reporting.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Support procurement activities by evaluating supplier quotations and pricing structures.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and verify cost-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, cost management, and cost reporting.
  • Experience in preparing BOQs and cost planning.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant Quantity Surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
