Job Description

Our client is a leading global source for high-quality ingredients for the Food & Beverage, Health & Nutrition, Animal Nutrition, Flavour & Fragrance, and Personal Care industries worldwide. This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the office, reporting to the Quality Team Leader. The role is within the Supplier Audit Pack Quality Team and involves renewal of audit pack documents and new supplier approvals. Other duties may include day-to-day support to the Quality department.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supplier monitoring and renewing audit packs documentation, including:
  2. Renewal of audit packs according to requirements (food and feed products)
  3. Approval of new suppliers
  4. Evaluation of risk assessments
  5. Navigating within internal systems (FBSS, Docuware, ADW)
  6. Animal feed approval
  7. Organic approval
  8. Participation in HACCP meetings
  9. Approval of toll manufacturing orders and resolution of related issues and queries
  10. Responding to technical queries from customers & suppliers related to ingredients, quality, and food safety
  11. Executing and participating in projects for continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
  12. Reviewing blocked inventory
  13. Supporting other Quality department tasks as per workload and priorities, such as:
  14. Arranging third-party laboratory analyses
  15. Approval of job processing
  16. Updating and reviewing product documentation (specifications, COA, SDS, allergens, GMO, labels, packaging, HACCP)
  17. Reviewing Standard Operating Procedures and other controlled documents
  18. Providing training and presentations
  19. Conducting internal audits and traceability exercises

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality (technical) requirements and standards within the food industry, along with HACCP, BRC Food, or similar certifications. They should have over 3 years of experience in a quality, technical, or R&D role within the food, ingredients, or supplements industry. Experience in auditing and resolving non-conformances or complaints is also required. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work for a reputable company with great benefits.
