Beneath the walls of the Ben & Jerry's factory in Hellendoorn makes over 150 employees the best ice cream of Europe. From Hellendoorn all ice creams travel to about 25 European countries. All Ben & Jerry's ice cream on the European market originates from Hellendoorn. Hellendoorn is the hub of this large production chain and everything revolves around creating honest dairy and plant based ice cream with natural ingredients and a strong focus on environment and society. All Ben & Jerry's ice we produce is 100 % Fair trade and we strive to be as energy neutral as possible inside the factory.

Who you are

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for quality questions from production; support laboratory staff.
• Act on deviations and, when needed, participate in improvement projects.
• Maintain product and process information in our systems.
• Work closely with the quality manager; daily quality coordination and follow up.
• Track and trace actions for internal/external audits and blockages.
• Record and manage deviations on raw materials, packaging and/or finished products.
• Analyze, interpret and process results to gain insight into the problem.
• Prepare (partial) reports, discuss findings and present results to the team.
• Help modify and improve existing test methods and processes.

Other tasks include

• Stay up to date with specialist knowledge and developments in your field.
• Maintain data sets, overviews and databases.
• Manage blockages in SAP.
• Ensure continuous improvement of processes and systems.
• Be visible on the floor.
• Participate in improvement projects and related tasks.
• Conduct inspection rounds: hygienic, technical state, 5S.
• Execute actions from meetings and follow up.
• Check registrations from the past 24 h of production.
• Comply with company regulations, safety, environmental and other requirements.

Qualifications

• Proactive reaction to food safety and quality signals.
• Analytical skill for root cause and solution search; solution oriented.
• Accuracy in registration and inspection tasks.
• High proficiency in Dutch; English is a plus.
• MBO - food & technology specialist or equivalent.
• Experience in production/production processes.
• Focus on quality, safety and innovation.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• At least 3 years production QA experience.
