Position: Quality Inspector
Reporting to: Quality Manager
Contract Type: Permanent
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate, after suitable training and instruction, various items of equipment to manufacture precision engineering components.
- Ensure the workstation is set up and work is carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures throughout production.
- Ensure products produced meet customer quality specifications.
- Work to standard procedures at all times.
- Support in the production and assembly of precision engineering components, ensuring they meet customer specifications and agreed timescales.
- Ensure the quality of products or components meets both specification and expectations of subsequent operations, clearly identifying and quantifying completed work.
- Notify supervision of any concerns with components, products, equipment, or facilities, and seek assistance when necessary.
- Minimise and report all scrap from any allocated operation.
- Operate in a safe and responsible manner with regard to other employees, ensuring appropriate PPE is used at all times.
- Maintain general housekeeping, keeping the workspace clean and safe at all times.
- Perform any duties requested by the Team Leader or Manager within your capabilities.
Ability to work shift patterns - 07:00-15:00 / 15:00-23:00 / 23:00-07:00
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
Understanding of customer drawings relating to the parts/components being checked.
Inspection jobs can be repetitive and requires dexterity due to handing very small parts
To ensure products suitably is identified at all times.
