Job Description
The team you'll be working with:

As a QAE Lead, you will be part of the leadership team within the NTT DATA UK&I QAE Practice. You will have the opportunity to join an award-winning Quality Assurance & Engineering team working on cutting-edge technologies, including AI/GenAI for test automation and predictive analytics. Key to this role is the ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. This role involves both hands-on leadership of automation and quality engineering initiatives and expanding our portfolio of QE assets and services. Strong communication skills are essential to convey technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll be doing:

You will join a highly focused quality engineering team that drives value for clients through an engineering-led approach.

Your responsibilities include ensuring Shift-Left Testing, supporting various testing types with frameworks like WebdriverIO, Cypress, and Playwright, mentoring team members, and continuously improving quality metrics such as defect density, test pass rate, and mean time to detect/resolve issues.

What experience you'll bring:
  • Background in consultancy across the full SDLC/Engineering
  • Proven ability to drive sales and growth within a client or through new business
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of GenAI & QE developments
  • Experience building advanced automation frameworks using object-oriented and scripted languages
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following: JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, Python
  • Strong understanding of OOP principles
  • Experience working in Agile teams, designing automated tests, and ensuring test coverage
  • Ability to collaborate with developers and understand CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of non-functional testing aspects like performance, security, accessibility
  • Familiarity with command line operations, code review, and version control workflows
  • Experience with BDD, API testing, web UI testing, and cross-domain applications including cloud and web apps
  • Additional skills such as mobile automation and contract testing are a plus

Nice to have:

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab
  • AWS experience
  • Experience with Cypress, Playwright, Webdriver.io, and Selenium
  • Knowledge of Contract Testing frameworks like PACT
  • Experience setting up E2E testing frameworks
