The Quality Engineer plays a key role in overseeing quality management throughout the project lifecycle, from tender and order execution to final delivery. This includes leading quality reviews, developing and approving Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring compliance with relevant standards (ISO 9001, ASME, etc.), and managing nonconformances. The role involves collaboration with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure alignment with quality requirements, managing supplier development, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Engineer will also lead audits, maintain documentation, monitor KPIs, and support the resolution of quality tasks across departments. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a quality culture and ensuring best practices are followed at all stages of the product lifecycle.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead quality reviews of contract-specific requirements during tender and order execution phases, actively participating in order handover and pre-inspection meetings. Drive the negotiation of quality standards with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and promoting a strong quality culture. Coordinate with customers and vendors to establish a clear, shared understanding of all quality requirements.
- Develop, review, and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure compliance with contract specifications, customer requirements, and alignment with Celeros Flow Technology's products, processes, and quality standards.
- Compile and complete final project documentation, including Manufacturing Record Books, in accordance with customer requirements, deadlines, and applicable standards (primarily ISO 9001 and ASME, with others as project-specific). Issue technical documents and certifications to verify product reliability and compliance. Prepare for and lead customer and inspector visits.
- Review and approve incoming quality documentation from suppliers, including material certifications (per EN 10204 3.1, 3.2), NDE documentation, Welding Packs and other Manufacturing and Quality Procedures, Reports, and other relevant records.
- Lead nonconformance management by coordinating with internal teams to resolve quality issues, support production in addressing quality issues, and ensure timely closure of project NCRs and punch lists before shipment. Conduct root cause analysis using recognized problem-solving techniques and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.
- Collaborate with supply chain to ensure raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies meet Celeros Flow Technology's quality standards. Support supplier development efforts, including reviewing and managing Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs). Follow up on supplier credit recoveries and contribute to achieving COPQ targets.
- Manage and conduct audits in line with ISO 9001:2015, ASME, and other relevant standards, ensuring completion of audit schedules, documentation, and full closure of findings. Support with internal, supplier, customer, and third-party audits, and oversee corrective and preventive actions through to resolution.
- Develop and maintain efficient processes and controls for quality performance. Support the creation, review, and updating of quality procedures, work instructions and documentation in alignment with ISO 9001, ASME, and customer/project requirements. Ensure that company's Quality Management System (QMS) documentation reflects current best practices and international standards.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and support business objectives. Promote a strong quality culture by driving best practices, fostering awareness, and encouraging adoption of quality initiatives across the organization.
- Maintain daily workload tracking and generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPI reports.
- Deliver training and offer ongoing support to colleagues in quality-related activities.
- Develop skills and knowledge to provide coverage for absent colleagues and assist in resolving quality-related tasks.
Knowledge:
- Expertise in ISO 9001, ASME, and other quality management standards.
- Understanding of contract-specific quality requirements and manufacturing processes (e.g. welding, NDE).
- Knowledge of supplier quality management (e.g. SCARs, material certifications).
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and best practices in quality management.
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
- Proficient in audit management, including internal, supplier, and third-party audits.
- Skilled in developing and approving Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Data analysis and reporting to track and report KPIs and quality metrics.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and resolve quality issues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation management.
- Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure adherence to best practices.
- University or College Degree in Engineering or Quality Management, or significant relevant industry experience.
- Experience with ISO 9001, ASME Codes and Standards, and EN ISO 9712.
- Technical competence in reviewing ISO/ASTM standards and customer specifications.
- High level of computer proficiency (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience in the preparation, development, and delivery of training programs.
- Auditing training and/or experience (internal and external).
- Knowledge of HSEQ company standards.
- Experience with continuous improvement in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication (both written and oral), influencing, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly professional conduct.
