Quality Control (Laboratory Assistant)

Job Overview

As a Quality Control (Laboratory Assistant) based in Ledbury, you will join a busy team within a food manufacturing business. This full time, temporary contract pays £15.31 per hour and involves 12 hour rotating day and night shifts.

Free on site parking is offered. You must be available until the end of August, with an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine laboratory tests and checks.
• Take samples from production lines.
• Conduct fruit quality checks, including weight and Brix testing.
• Record results accurately using SAP.
• Monitor laboratory stock and supplies.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Support production and quality teams as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Good attention to detail.
• Basic IT skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Previous laboratory or quality control experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Must be available to work for the full project duration until the end of August.

Shift Pattern

12 hour shifts: Day (06:00 - 18:00) and Night (18:00 - 06:00). Days, nights and weekend working required.
