Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU?

• Bachelor's degree in informatics or similar.
• 5-7 years' experience in testing.
• Knowledge of and experience with various levels of manual and automated testing of C# applications:
• Smoke, System, Regression, Sanity, Performance, Integration, Acceptance, Chain testing
• White-box and black-box
• Experience with chain (E2E) testing in a complex system environment.
• Knowledge of Test Automation Framework.
• Experience with working TDD and BDD.
• Experience with API testing (Postman or similar) and testing microservices.
• Experience with testing subsystems by creating your own stubs, driver and test data.
• Experience with Contract Based Testing.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git & Confluence.
• Experience working CI/CD.
• Experience with tools like Selenium, Cucumber/Specflow, Cypress.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure e.g. Data Factories.
• .NET and C# knowledge.
• SQL knowledge.
• Practitioner knowledge of general IT risks and controls.
• Experience with Audit, Compliance and Operational Risk processes.

GOOD TO HAVE:

• Experience with Microservices.
• Infrastructure as Code using bicep.
• Application containerisation.
• Experience with finance or banking systems and processes.

HOW WILL YOUR DAILY JOB BE?

• Demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, accountability, and the ability to take a clear stance.
• Continuously identify opportunities for technical and performance improvements within proposed solutions while ensuring proper documentation and adherence to automation standards in a modern Agile environment.
• Collaborate, brainstorm, and contribute to shaping ideas and strategies with your squad and other key stakeholders.
• Share knowledge proactively, demonstrating a willingness and capability to teach, mentor, and support team members.
• Work effectively within a distributed team, maintaining a proactive, engaged, and solution oriented attitude.
• Support the squad's delivery triangle by helping solve complex impediments and providing innovative, high quality solutions.
• Apply comprehensive testing expertise to maintain a holistic understanding of system behavior-both within the squad and across related squads-ensuring a "helicopter view" of the product.
• Contribute within the area and the testers' community to define the most effective approaches for achieving high quality standards.
• Adapt quickly to changing circumstances, priorities, and project demands.
• Bring curiosity, strong analytical thinking, determination, proactiveness, and a results-driven mindset, while openly and constructively sharing opinions.
