About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance & Test (QAT) Analyst to help shape and improve quality assurance and testing practices across a complex technology environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a QA professional to support the adoption of modern quality engineering practices, including test automation, AI-enabled testing, shift-left approaches and continuous improvement.

Working across multiple delivery teams, you will help ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development and delivery lifecycle. You will work on systems and services where reliability, security and quality are critical, helping teams reduce risk and deliver better outcomes.

About the Team

As a QAT Analyst, you will work as part of a central quality assurance and testing function, providing expertise, guidance and assurance across multiple technology delivery teams.

You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Solution Teams and third-party delivery partners. Acting as a trusted advisor on quality, you will help teams adopt consistent testing practices, improve test coverage and ensure appropriate quality standards are maintained.

You will play an important role in translating QA strategy into practical delivery activities across both project and business-as-usual environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Embed QAT strategy, standards, processes and tooling across delivery teams.
• Promote consistent testing approaches across System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business-as-usual activities.
• Drive the adoption of risk-based testing methodologies.
• Promote shift-left testing and modern quality engineering practices.
• Support the implementation and adoption of AI-enabled testing solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, increase test coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Support the implementation and development of test automation solutions.
• Define, monitor and report on QA metrics and key performance indicators.
• Analyse defects, quality trends, test coverage and delivery risks.
• Provide clear insight and recommendations to delivery teams and senior stakeholders.
• Work with third-party suppliers to ensure testing activities align with agreed QA standards and processes.
• Support governance, audit and compliance activities.
• Ensure testing practices meet relevant regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across QA and testing processes.
• Support the wider QA community through mentoring, knowledge sharing and best-practice development.
• Help promote a culture where quality is considered throughout the entire delivery lifecycle.

Working Arrangements

This is a hybrid role, with the successful candidate typically expected to spend approximately % of their working time in the Cambridge office to support collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

About You

You will be an experienced QA and testing professional with a strong understanding of quality engineering and modern software delivery practices.

You will be comfortable working across multiple delivery teams, managing competing priorities and influencing stakeholders without direct management authority.

You will bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a pragmatic approach to quality and a genuine interest in helping teams improve the way they test and deliver technology.

Essential Requirements

• Strong experience delivering QA and testing activities within Agile delivery environments.
• Experience across both functional and non-functional testing disciplines.
• Hands-on experience with test automation and modern testing tools.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing approaches.
• Experience applying risk-based testing methodologies.
• Experience managing the end-to-end test lifecycle.
• Ability to analyse quality data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
• Strong understanding of defect management, test coverage and quality metrics.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working across multiple technology teams and managing competing priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
