Qualified Teachers - Durham

Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary and Secondary Schools across Durham and the surrounding areas, and with the new academic year now in full swing, demand for qualified teachers has never been higher. We're looking for passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic teachers to join our schools and support pupils across the 2026/27 academic year.

As a Teacher, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil can thrive and reach their full potential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.


  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.


  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.


  • Assess and monitor pupil progress.


  • Adapt teaching and learning to meet individual needs.


  • Promote positive behaviour and high expectations.


  • Support pupils with SEND where required.


  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.


  • Work collaboratively with school staff to support the wider school community.



Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.


  • Experience teaching within a Primary or Secondary school setting.


  • Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum.


  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.


  • Passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their potential.


  • Adaptable, reliable and confident approach to teaching.


  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.


  • Completion of the required KCSIE safeguarding training/course, or willingness to complete this as part of the onboarding process.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
