Overview

Qualified Social Worker, Children's Team Manager, Locality Team - Pay rate to £40 per hour - Contract role. Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work in a Locality Team in Manchester City Council. The South Locality Service, based at Etrop Court in Wythenshawe, are looking for an experienced team manager to join their leadership team. You will have leadership experience within a duty service, child protection and court service. You will be skilled in supporting and developing social workers, offering reflective supervision. You will have experience of effective performance management, supporting social workers with statutory compliance and case management, direction and oversight. Your social work skills and statutory knowledge will contribute to the overall development of the service.

Your role will add additional capacity within the leadership team and support parts of the service with the most demand. You will join an established team of 12 team managers across the whole locality, with 2 service leads and an assistant director heading up the service. You will receive monthly supervision, access to training and development in your management role. Each team consists of 2 advanced practitioners and 4 social workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership within a duty service, child protection and court service
• Support and develop social workers, offering reflective supervision
• Manage performance, statutory compliance and case direction and oversight
• Contribute to service development and capacity planning within the locality
