About Us
We're a family-run electrical business with a strong reputation for quality, honesty, and doing things properly. Our work spans domestic, commercial, and industrial, and we take pride in providing a reliable, safe, and friendly service to our customers. We value people who care about their craft, their customers, and their colleagues. You'll be joining a supportive, down-to-earth team that enjoys working together, keeps standards high, and shares a genuine commitment to professional excellence.
About the Role
As a Qualified Electrician, you'll be responsible for delivering safe, accurate, and efficient electrical work on a variety of projects. Your day might include testing and certification, fault-finding, installation, and maintenance - all completed to the highest technical standards and within agreed timeframes. You'll have the autonomy to plan your work effectively while having the backing of a friendly, organised office and management team who make sure you have what you need to do your best work.
This role also includes some additional responsibilities that make it varied and rewarding. You'll support the team with supplier sourcing and materials procurement to help us maintain good value for clients, and you'll play an active part in mentoring our apprentices, helping them grow their confidence and capability as future electricians.
If you're the right person for this role, you will be
An upbeat, dependable person with a can-do attitude and a professional approach. You'll take real pride in doing a job properly, with an eye for detail and a strong sense of responsibility for the safety and satisfaction of every customer. You'll be organised and efficient, calm under pressure, and the kind of person colleagues can trust and enjoy working with. You'll be open to learning, willing to share knowledge, and confident enough to ask for support when you need it. Above all, you'll care about doing things the right way - for the customer, for the company, and for yourself.
What success looks like in your first 12 months
Jobs completed safely, accurately, and on schedule, with minimal rework or call-backs.
Customers are consistently delighted with both the quality of your work and the service you provide.
Materials purchased efficiently and used effectively, helping to maintain profitability.
Apprentices are developing their skills and achieving progress thanks to your guidance and example.
What you'll bring
NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition qualifications, with ECS card and full UK driving licence.
Experience across installation, testing, and fault-finding in domestic or light commercial settings.
A natural commitment to quality workmanship and personal integrity.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with confidence to represent the business well on site.
Why join us
You'll be part of a team that genuinely supports one another and takes pride in its reputation. We offer a company vehicle, paid travel time, a uniform, and well-maintained tools. You'll have access to funded CPD, technical development, and progression pathways - including routes to Approved or Qualifying Supervisor. We operate a fair and transparent approach to overtime, and provide 28 days' holiday including bank holidays, a pension scheme, and a focus on work-life balance.
