A bit about us:Acorns is a small Village Preschool operating Term Time Only. We are a warm, community-based preschool at the heart of our village, and we are looking for a passionate and experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team. This is a wonderful opportunity for a nurturing, confident practitioner to join our small team and make a real difference in children's early experiences.
All about the role:- Create a calm, engaging and stimulating learning environment.
- Plan and deliver high-quality learning in line with the EYFS.
- Monitor children's progress and support next steps.
- Build strong partnerships with parents.
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive practice.
- This is a term-time only position, offering a healthy work-life balance within a supportive and close-knit team.
- Holds a full and relevant Early Years Qualification (Level 2 or above)
- Has experience in early years
- Is warm, organised and reflective.
- Understands safeguarding responsibilities.

Job description- Applicants will need experience working with children and be confident to learn to use our on line learning journey system and be a key person in our setting. To assist with the planning of the curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for guidance.
- To act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met.
- To actively participate at team meetings, supervision meetings and appraisal meetings.
- To attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for personal development.
- To take action to support the setting to achieve and maintain a minimum good Ofsted rating at the next inspection.
- To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences.
- To ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures.
