Job Description

For our industrial operation in Setubal, we are seeking a qualified Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Specialist professional to support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of integrated management systems in alignment with ISO standards and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Integrated Management Systems

  • Implement and maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certified systems.
  • Ensure compliance with national and European legislation, as well as internal and group-level standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and manage corrective action plans.

Health, Safety & Occupational Risk

  • Identify and assess operational risks, proposing preventive and corrective measures.
  • Promote safe behaviors and healthy work practices.
  • Investigate incidents and manage reporting and resolution tracking.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and support emergency response activities.

Environmental Management

  • Participate in environmental risk assessments and monitor key indicators.
  • Ensure proper waste management and compliance with environmental licenses.
  • Promote a culture of sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Quality Management

  • Ensure process and product compliance with defined quality standards.
  • Manage complaints, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement using analytical and process management tools.

Training, Documentation & Sustainability

  • Identify QSHE training needs and support competency development.
  • Verify documentation from external companies for compliance.
  • Integrate ESG indicators into management processes and support sustainability reporting.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Postgraduate or equivalent diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (mandatory).
  • Certification in Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Certification in continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Formal training in ESG and corporate sustainability practices.
  • Ideally 5 years of experience in similar roles within an industrial environment, preferably in the chemical sector.
  • Proven expertise in ISO system implementation and auditing, operational risk management, and legal compliance.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and communicating with regulatory authorities and external auditors.
