Job Description
Grafton is the Gi Group Holding brand dedicated to the recruitment and selection of specialized profiles in the Engineering & Industry, Finance HR, Banking & Insurance, and Sales & Marketing segments. In partnership with our client in the logistics sector, we are recruiting a QSHE Specialist.
Scope
Promote a strong, proactive and risk-based prevention, safety and environmental culture, support operational excellence, mitigate risks, improve Quality, Health, Safety and Environment management systems (QHSE) performance and provide technical advice to management, contributing to safe, compliant and sustainable operations.

Responsabilities
- Develop, specify, implement and monitor corporate and on-site QHSE plans, acting with technical autonomy and initiative to ensure legal compliance and alignment with corporate policies and international standards
- Ensure compliance with applicable Portuguese legislation and international QHSE regulations, standards and best practices
- Perform audits, inspections and follow-up actions to assess QHSE performance at designated terminals and associated facilities, identifying gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement
- Coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholders, subcontractors and service providers, ensuring effective cooperation and consistent enforcement of QHSE policies and requirements
- Prepare, adapt and roll out corporate QHSE procedures, work instructions, guidelines and awareness campaigns, tailoring corporate approaches to the operational specificities of each terminal or facility
- Advise terminal and operational management teams on QHSE matters, supporting decision-making, compliance, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote and foster positive prevention, safety and environmental culture through innovative, engaging and proactive communication and awareness methods
- Develop, monitor and analyze QHSE data, statistics and performance indicators, identifying trends and improvement opportunities, and prepare periodic KPI and management reports
- Design, prepare and deliver QHSE training programs and safety awareness sessions addressing key operational risks, legal requirements and QHSE topics
- Implement, maintain, control and continuously improve ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ESG management systems across different terminals, ensuring certification readiness and compliance
- Manage and follow up on additional QHSSE matters according to terminal and project needs, including supervision of works, accident and incident reporting and investigation, and control of high-risk or major hazard activities
- Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management or a related field
- Professional certification in Occupational Health and Safety
- Training in ISO management systems is considered an advantage
- 3 - 5 years' experience in port operations or an industrial environment
- Fluency in Portuguese and Good knowledge of English (spoken and written) is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of Portuguese QHSE legislation and applicable international standards
- Solid understanding of ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and ESG principles
- Competence in risk assessment, incident investigation, audits and compliance monitoring
- Ability to analyse QHSE data, develop KPIs and prepare technical and management reports
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and QHSE reporting systems
- Base salary including IHT
- Monday to Friday schedule
