Job Description
QA Specialist - 9-month FTC The Role 
Sigmar Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation in Portlaoise to recruit a QA Specialist for a 9-month Fixed term contract.
QA Specialist Key Responsibilities- Lead quality assurance and product validation activities for product commercialisation, ensuring compliance with quality, customer and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate new and existing processes to determine validation, verification and risk assessment requirements, implementing appropriate controls to minimise the risk of non-conforming products.
- Manage project-related quality issues, including non-conformances, investigations and CAPAs, while providing quality support and guidance across departments.
- Prepare, review, approve and maintain validation documentation, packaging specifications and product labelling to ensure compliance and product compatibility requirements are met.
- Contribute as a key member of the product commercialisation team by providing quality decisions, meeting project timelines, reporting progress to management and escalating quality concerns where required.
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline preferred, with 1-3 years' experience in a similar quality role within a regulated environment; internal auditor training is advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of current regulatory requirements and working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015; familiarity with EXCiPACT and IPEC standards would be beneficial.
- Experience working with paper-based Quality Management Systems (QMS), demonstrating strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively, adapt to change and build positive stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, collaboration and a commitment to continuous improvement.
