Job Description

We are looking for a Regular/SeniorQA Engineer to join a team working for our UK-based client - the national mapping agency for Great Britain and a global leader in geospatial data and digital mapping solutions. You will be part of a project focused on building a comprehensive digital map of underground assets in the UK, contributing to the development of data pipelines, backend services, and a frontend application that support critical decision-making across government and industry.


Experience:

  • 3+ years in a QA or test automation role
  • Experience working in cross-functional agile teams
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified to ISTQB Foundation Level in Software Testing (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of functional testing and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of non-functional testing and test automation
  • Solid experience with Selenium for UI automation
  • Proficiency in API testing using Postman
  • Experience with JMeter for performance testing (preferred for 1/3team member)
  • Familiarity with agile software development and testing techniques
  • Skilled in reviewing test outcomes and producing high-quality documentation
  • Experience using test management tools and working within CI/CD pipelines
  • Be a keen team player with a strong willingness to learn

Tech stack:

  • Automation: Selenium (Java or Python preferred)
  • API Testing: Postman
  • Performance Testing: JMeter (required for 1 out of 3 team members)
  • CI/CD & Tools: Jenkins, Git, JIRA, TestRail (or similar)
  • Development Methodology: Agile (Scrum/Kanban)

Contract details:

  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Contract Length: 18 months
  • Team Size: 3 FTEs
  • Security Clearance Certificate is mandatory

Location:

Remote from the UK, with potential business trips to Southampton every 4-6 weeks.
