Purchasing Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Purchasing Specialist to join a growing small-to-medium-sized manufacturing company based in Limerick.

This role is ideally suited to someone with 3-5 years' experience in purchasing or supply chain who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop into a Senior Buyer position further down the line.

Experience in industrial manufacturing or machining environments is advantageous but not essential.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and strengthening the purchasing function with clear progression opportunities into a more senior role.

Key Responsibilities

• Support supplier relationship management and assist with negotiations.
• Source materials to support manufacturing operations.
• Manage RFQs and purchase orders through the ERP system.
• Assist with purchasing activities across two sites.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and supply chain improvements.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams.

Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is desirable.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• ERP system experience (M1 an advantage, not essential)
• Ambitious, proactive, and eager to progress into a senior/lead role.
