Job Description

Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 (Junior level) / Flexible for experience

Location: Immingham (Hybrid - 3 days in office)

We are partnering with a market-leading organization in Immingham to find a grounded, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their established finance team. This is a role for someone who values stability, a supportive team culture, and a "grown-up" working environment.

The Role

Working within a collaborative office, you will manage the end-to-day lifecycle of invoices and vendor queries. This isn't just data entry; you'll be the gatekeeper for financial accuracy and cyber-security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Management: High-volume processing and resolving complex discrepancies.
  • Vendor Liaison: Building relationships with suppliers and managing new vendor setups.
  • Risk Mitigation: Verifying bank details and maintaining high levels of fraud awareness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Confidently pushing back on incorrect information and liaising with internal departments.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience: 1-2 years within an Accounts Payable or similar finance function.
  • Mindset: Mature, resilient, and comfortable saying "no" when processes aren't followed.
  • Tech Savvy: Strong Excel skills;
  • Communication: A team player who is kind, supportive, and stays calm when priorities shift.
