Public Sector Commercial lawyer

The client's EMEA Cloud Legal team is seeking a Commercial Counsel to support an increasing workload across the EMEA cloud business, focused on a new pipeline of high value opportunities with government customers. This work will involve close collaboration with teams across the organisation's advanced research and technology functions. You'll be working alongside fellow LOD consultants as well as familiar faces within the broader cloud legal team.

• Autonomous Cloud Deal Leadership
  Act as lead legal counsel on high value, complex public sector tenders and contract negotiations across EMEA, operating with minimal supervision.
• Strategic Risk Management
  Conduct or oversee detailed, line by line gap analyses of public sector procurement terms, conditions and requirements, comparing them against the client's standard positions and fallbacks. Prepare clear, executive friendly summaries outlining key risks and recommended approaches.
• Problem Solving
  Provide practical, business focused legal guidance and develop creative solutions to emerging or undefined cloud related challenges in the EMEA public sector - always balancing legal risk with commercial priorities.
• Cross Functional Collaboration
  Work closely with teams across Sales, Privacy, Public Policy, Pricing, Product, and Security to build consensus on legal issues and remove blockers in complex deal cycles.
