Job Description

Enable Ireland is seeking a highly-motivated Senior Psychologist to join our team in CHO7 CDNT 2 Ballyboden, Tallaght. The role involves delivering assessment, intervention, supervision, and service development for young people (0 - 18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary, family centred framework.

Contract Details
  • Type: Permanent, Full Time
  • Hours: 35 per week
  • Salary: €97,978 to €115,166 pro rata per annum (subject to Long Service Increments)
  • Annual Leave: 34 days pro rata per annum and proportional for less than 12 months
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychological services including assessment and intervention for children and young people with complex needs.
  • Deliver services in clinics, preschools, schools, children's homes, and community settings.
  • Supervise and support junior staff and clinical teams.
  • Participate in service development and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Qualifications
  • University degree or diploma in Psychology (QQ1 level 8) with 1st or 2nd class honours.
  • Irish post graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology, or an equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health.
  • At least five years post graduate experience in professional psychology (with limits on the time spent completing the qualification and on post qualification experience as specified).
  • For clinical or counselling psychologists: at least 60 days supervised clinical placement or post qualification work experience in relevant health settings.
  • For educational psychologists: at least 60 days supervised placement or post qualification work experience in appropriate settings.
  • Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Current eligibility to work in the state.
  • Valid driving licence and access to own transport for service delivery across a large geographical area.
  • Previous senior post experience and interdisciplinary team working.
  • Skills in assessment and intervention for mental health needs in children and young people with disabilities.
  • Experience with children aged birth to 18 years and a range of disabilities, including physical disability, autism, and learning disability.
  • Qualification in diagnostic work ups including ASD, developmental delay, and intellectual disability.
