Clincal Psychologist - Cognitive & Adaptive Function Assessments (Autism Service)

Location: Nationwide Opportunities Available

Contract: ASAP - Ongoing

Pay: £700 per completed assessment (outside IR35, all-inclusive)

Hours: 08:30 - 18:30 (weekdays, with weekend options)

About the Role

We are seeking HCPC-registered Psychologists to join our autism diagnostic service for children aged 5-11 years across the UK. You will focus on delivering cognitive and adaptive assessments, working within a dedicated MDT that includes paediatricians, psychiatrists, psychologists, SALTs and OTs.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and score cognitive tools (WISC V, WPPSI IV)
• Deliver adaptive functioning assessments (Vineland 3, ABAS 3)
• Interpret results and contribute to diagnostic formulation within the MDT
• Provide written reports integrated into the child's diagnostic outcome (submitted within 6-8 weeks)
• Participate in family feedback sessions and contribute to the 6 week follow up call where required

Essential Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Psychologist (Educational/Child)
• Demonstrated competence with WISC V, WPPSI IV, Vineland 3, ABAS 3
• Recent experience in autism/neurodevelopmental assessments - ADOS
• Enhanced DBS and up-to-date safeguarding training
