Hamilton Barnes are seeking a seasoned PSA integration Engineer to join our client's team on an initial six-month contract with one of the UK's leading utilities. In this hybrid role (two days per week on-site in Edinburgh)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design, development and testing of interfaces and web services connecting PowerON Reliance (XA/21) SCADA EMS with disparate systems.
• Architect and implement custom interface protocols and adapters for both operational SCADA data and financial/business systems.
• Author and execute automated test scripts (JUnit, LoadRunner, QuickTest Professional), drive factory acceptance tests and support system commissioning.
• Apply deep knowledge of SCADA data flows and Real Time constraints to ensure robust, low-latency interfaces.

What You Will Ideally Bring:

• Full-cycle build and test of PowerON Reliance EMS/SCADA modules and related web services.
• Solid grasp of SOAP/REST, XML/XSD and custom SCADA/business-system messaging formats.
• Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve Real Time, mission-critical system failures.
• Effective interfacing with customers, engineers and project stakeholders.

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6 months (View for Extension)
• Day Rate: Up to £500 per day (Inside IR35)
• Location: Hybrid 2x a week in Edinburgh
• Start Date: ASAP
