We'relooking for a Proposition Development Manager to joinourProposition Development team on a six-monthfixed term contract.
You'll help develop compelling funding opportunities that bringourambitions to life and inspire support from a range of high-value audiences.
Working across priorities including Ending Unequal Access, conservation,heritageand inspiring people to care for nature,you'llcollaborate with colleagues across the organisation to shape strategic propositions, develop persuasive cases for support and help build proposition development capability.

As this is a national role, there is flexibility on your contractual place of work. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places.We'lltalk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40-60% of your working week.
What you'll be doingYou'llwork with colleagues across theorganisationsto develop compelling funding propositions and cases for support that help secure investment in our strategic priorities. Working closely with fundraising,programmeand finance teams,you'llbring together information,insightsand evidence to create opportunities that connect supporter interests with meaningful impact.
You'llhelp shape how programmes are presented to a range of audiences, including major donors, trusts and foundations, corporatepartnersand wider fundraising audiences.
You'llfacilitateconversations and workshops with colleagues from across the organisation, bringing together different perspectives and areas of expertise to develop strong funding opportunities.You'llbe confident interpreting complexinformation and project budgets, turning them into clear, engaging narratives and well-costed propositions thatdemonstratethe difference supporters can make.
Alongside developing new propositions,you'llhelp strengthen proposition development across the organisation by sharing knowledge, coachingcolleaguesand supporting effective ways of working.You'llcontribute to the continuous improvement of proposition development processes, helping ensure fundraisers have access to a strong portfolio of funding opportunities that align with organisational priorities and supporter interests.
Who we're looking forYou'll bring a broad range of the following knowledge,skillsand experience, shaped bydifferent roles, sectors or career paths, and the judgment to apply them effectively at scale;
- Experience developing compelling propositions, cases for support or other strategic communications that engage different audiences.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear,engagingand persuasive narratives that inspire action.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with experience of working collaboratively across teams,bringing together a range of perspectives.
- Experiencefacilitatingdiscussions, workshops or collaborative activities that help shape ideas,prioritiesand solutions.
- Experienceworking with financial information and budgets to develop credible, costed proposals and recommendations.
- Experienceleading inclusively, creating an environment where people feel valued,respectedand able to contribute their best work.
