As they continue to expand operations and ambitious growth plans, they are seeking a Proposals Engineer to join their team in Navan.
Reporting to the Group Engineering and Technology Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth by coordinating and delivering high-quality, winning bids across the Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical and water sectors.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of opportunities from initial qualification and strategy through to tender submission and contract award, working closely with engineering, estimating, project delivery and commercial teams to develop solutions that deliver both technical and commercial value.

As Proposals Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the full bid process, ensuring proposals are technically robust, commercially competitive and aligned with both customer requirements and strategic objectives.
You will play a key role in identifying opportunities, developing winning strategies and coordinating internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality submissions.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the proposal process from bid qualification through to contract award
- Leading technical and commercial bid activities across multiple workstreams
- Developing value propositions, win themes and commercial strategies
- Coordinating the preparation of technical and commercial tender submissions
- Reviewing client requirements and ensuring proposals meet technical, commercial and governance standards
- Assessing contractual risks and supporting effective risk mitigation strategies
- Leading go/no-go bid qualification processes and making recommendations on opportunities
- Coordinating input from engineering, design, estimating, project delivery and supply chain teams
- Engaging with suppliers to develop best-value procurement strategies
- Analysing market conditions and identifying opportunities aligned with the growth strategy
- Supporting client meetings, presentations and wider business development activity
- Managing and improving bid management processes and procedures
- Conducting post-bid reviews and implementing lessons learned to improve future submissions
- Ensuring a structured handover from the bid stage through to project delivery
- Supporting the development and mentoring of the wider proposals team
- Contributing to business strategy, growth initiatives and continuous improvement
- Degree qualified in Engineering or Quantity Surveying
- Proven experience delivering successful bids for major construction, engineering or manufacturing projects
- Experience in a proposals, tendering, estimating or bid management environment
- Ideally, a background within fabrication and manufacturing
- Experience within the Irish and/or UK water sector would be highly beneficial
- Strong understanding of bid management from opportunity identification through to submission
- Demonstrable experience developing win strategies, value propositions and commercial strategies
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent risk management and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage complex, multi-workstream opportunities
- Excellent presentation and customer-facing communication skills
- Experience implementing or improving processes and procedures
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
