Property Locum Solicitor (Part-Time) - Remote

Contract: Temporary (Initial 12 weeks, potential extension to 6-9 months)

Hours: 15 hours per week

Rate:

• PAYE: £22.65 per hour
• Umbrella/Ltd: £29.59 per hour

Ribble Recruitment is supporting a local authority in sourcing an experienced Property Locum Solicitor to provide essential cover during a period of maternity leave.

This is an initial 12-week assignment with a strong likelihood of extension to cover the full maternity period (6-9 months). The role is fully remote and part-time, offering flexibility while contributing to a busy Legal Services function.

• Manage a caseload of property-related legal matters on behalf of a local authority
• Provide legal advice on a range of property law issues, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and landlord & tenant matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documentation
• Support internal stakeholders with clear, pragmatic legal guidance
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and local authority governance frameworks

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with relevant practising experience
• Strong background in property law, ideally within a local authority setting
• Ability to manage caseload independently with minimal supervision
• Experience advising public sector clients is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Fully remote working
