Projects & Infrastructure Associate 2+ PQE Top Ranked International Law Firm Birmingham

BCL Legal are delighted to be supporting a top ranked international law firm in its search for an Associate to join its Projects & Infrastructure team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded, award-winning team with a strong pipeline of UK government, energy and infrastructure project work. The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with flexible working options and hybrid working as standard. Excellent salary and benefits package on offer.

The Role

As an Associate in this team, you would:

Advise on a broad range of UK domestic energy, infrastructure and defence projects.
Work on high-profile government mandates and developer-side project development matters.
Support clients across the full project lifecycle, from procurement through to construction and operational arrangements.
Be involved in major and nationally significant projects, including infrastructure, defence programmes and nuclear decommissioning work.
Advise on key project agreements, including PPP/PFI arrangements, EPC contracts, PPAs and O&M agreements.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team with expertise spanning procurement, project finance, construction and sector specialisms such as defence and nuclear.
Play an active role in business development and client relationship management.

About You

To be successful in your application for this Associate vacancy, you will have:

A minimum of 2 years' PQE as a qualified Solicitor.
Experience advising on project agreements (PPP/PFI, EPC, PPA, O&M or similar).
Experience of UK public procurement processes (PCR) is desirable but not essential.
Experience in single source contracting (SSCR) is advantageous but not essential.
Exposure to government, defence or nuclear sector work (including in-house) would be beneficial.
Strong project management skills and a proactive, adaptable approach.
A good teamwork ethic and a desire to contribute to business development initiatives.
