Job Description

Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, one of Ireland'sHVAC/Air conditioning contractors have an exciting opportunity for aProject Manager to join their team inDublin and take full ownership of their installation division. This is a hands on leadership role, not a coordination position. You will be responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and profitably, while leading and developing the projects' function. You will report to the COO and play a key role in the next stage of the company's growth.

About

This is not a standard Contracts Manager role.

You will take ownership of an €8-9M installation division in a business that already has:

  • Strong project tracking and financial visibility
  • Weekly performance monitoring (labour & materials)
  • Established client base and pipeline
  • Operational systems being actively improved
The right person will be able to
  • Take control of project performance
  • Lead the projects' function
  • Drive accountability and results
Duties
  • Own and be accountable for the profitability of all installation projects
  • Monitor labour and material performance against budget
  • Ensure all variations are identified, priced, and agreed
  • Manage commercial risk across projects
  • Allocate labour effectively across multiple projects
  • Balance resources to maximise efficiency and margin
  • Work closely with Project Managers to plan labour requirements
  • Make decisions on project priorities and resourcing
  • Act as the primary operational contact post contract award
  • Lead project kick off meetings and establish delivery expectations
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and main contractors
  • Manage and support Project Managers
  • Provide guidance on both operational and commercial decisions
  • Drive accountability across the projects team
  • Lead weekly project performance reviews
  • Full ownership of the performance of the installation division
  • Authority to make decisions on:
    • Labour allocation
    • Project priorities
    • Delivery approach
  • Responsibility for ensuring projects achieve expected margins
Requirements
  • Strong background in HVAC, mechanical contracting, or construction
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven experience with both site delivery and commercial/project control
  • Experience dealing directly with clients and contractors
  • Comfortable on construction sites and with installation teams
  • Strong decision maker who can take control of situations
  • Commercially aware with a focus on margin protection
  • Proactive, accountable, and results driven
  • Strong communicator with both internal teams and clients

Salary
  • €95,000 - €110,000 base salary (depending on experience)
