Job Description
Project Support Officer (My First 1000 Days)

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. The role is a 21-hour working week, with Mondays expected to be a core working day (a minimum of 5 hours), with duties undertaken on campus. We will consider flexible working arrangements for the remainder of the working week and hours.

We are looking for a highly self-motivated and flexible individual with a positive approach to work on the 'First 1000 Days' project, a transformational programme of work aimed at improving the long-term development and life chances of children born and their parents or caregivers in Leeds. This programme comprises various workstreams that adopt a holistic approach to the crucial first 1000 days of a child's life. We seek a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Support Officer to assist in the successful execution of this project, providing administrative, logistical, and coordination support, and working closely with the Project Manager and the wider project team. The role involves supporting the project and assisting the Project Manager or PO in implementing an agile way of working and identifying opportunities for process or system improvements.

The University of Leeds is ranked among the top 80 universities worldwide. We have a diverse community with over 39,000 students from 170 countries and more than 9,000 staff from 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, our university has a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education and world-leading research with a global impact.
