Job Description

Base Location: Portsmouth, Havant, New Forest, Melksham and Thatcham.

Salary: £34,749 - £40,939 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent Full Time Flexible First options available - hybrid working.

We are looking for a Project Support Officer to join our team!

As Project Support Officer you will work within the Competitions in Connections (CiC) team, that is responsible for enabling our Independent Connection Providers ICPs, and Independent Distribution Network Operators IDNOs to connect onto our distribution network.

The role of Project Support Officer plays a key part in supporting our customers and the Project Management team with the delivery of connections projects.

You will be:

  • Allocating projects to the Project Management team and Consenting team
  • Liaising with external ICP/IDNO's, internal colleagues and various stakeholders to maintain compliance and to facilitate job completion.
  • Ensuring records are kept accurate and up to date on SSE's IT systems and on our CiC project trackers.
  • Producing reports and uploading documents on completions of projects
  • Raising purchase orders and managing receipting of invoices

You have:

  • Experience in the connections business would be very beneficial, along with a reliable and hardworking approach
  • Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Great experience in delivering excellent customer service
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and quick to learn new systems and processes.

Travel is required and as a result we can only accept applications from candidates that hold a current driving licence.
