Job Description

A well-regarded and expanding construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in delivering a range of projects across commercial, residential and industrial (sheds) sectors within a supportive and professional environment.

The appointed Project Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for managing schemes from early feasibility through to final account, gaining exposure to both pre- and post-contract duties. This Project Quantity Surveyor position is ideal for a confident and career-driven Project Quantity Surveyor seeking greater responsibility and clear progression.

Role
  • Delivering cost planning, estimating and feasibility reporting as a Project Quantity Surveyor
  • Taking ownership of procurement, including tender documentation and evaluation
  • Acting as contract administrator on projects (predominantly JCT)
  • Managing cost control, variations and financial performance across projects
  • Overseeing valuations, applications for payment and assisting with final accounts
  • Preparing regular financial reports and forecasts
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and project stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction discipline
  • Experience operating as a Project Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor within the UK market
  • Sound understanding of JCT contracts and standard commercial practices
  • Progressing towards or interested in achieving MRICS (or similar accreditation)
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
