Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager (PDI) - ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) - Water Division

Location: Athlone WTP, Co. Westmeath

Contract Type: Permanent

Work Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

Responsibilities
  • Ensure thorough knowledge and understanding of the contract for all assigned projects
  • Coordinate design activities and outputs across Water and Wastewater PCI and PDI projects
  • Act as the main point of contact for issues related to your project portfolio
  • Work collaboratively within the ECI structure with client, technical assurance, employer's representative and operations to deliver project scope
  • Link with senior management to provide timely updates on the progress of design outputs, deliverables, procurement, cost, forecast and variations
  • Track commitments from scope performers against baseline to manage delays and maximize opportunities
  • Administer all necessary documentation via approved systems (e.g., BIM 360, process workflows)
  • Monitor and control project progress and adherence to the programme
  • Manage the procurement sheet
  • Identify risks to design activities and outputs and notify the client to enable early warnings, claims, variations and final cost cap agreement
  • Identify and manage opportunities, influencing positive change and improvements in the design process and wider team
  • Liaise with the project team, including Programme Manager, Designers, Drafting team and H&S Manager, to ensure all H&S requirements are satisfied
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure motivation and understanding of output scope and timelines
Qualifications and Experience
  • 5+ years relevant post qualification experience in the execution of M&E or Civil engineering projects
  • Diploma, Degree or Masters level in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience (Mechanical, Civil, Process, Chemical, etc.)
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Project
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Self motivated with strong communication skills
